PowerPoint -
you either love it or you hate it! There seems to be no middle
ground.
On the other hand it seems impossible to escape PowerPoint either -
today's presentations seem to rely heavily on PowerPoint
slides and there is a school of thought that implies if you don't
have 20 slides minimum in as many minutes, then you are not well
prepared!
Personally I am not anti-PowerPoint. But I
AM very firmly against PowerPoint excesses and PowerPoint
dependence. Visual aids (of which PowerPoint is but one) have their
place in a good presentation - but they must know their place,
which is as a 'servant' of the presenter. But to see many
presentations today you would be forgiven for thinking that the
roles have been reversed and the presenter is nothing more than the
guy who presses the button on the computer to bring the next
interminable slide into play.
So where is the balance? Listen to my course and
